The Unfortunate Weekend

This weekend was supposed to be fun, but it didn't necessarily go as planned. I left on Friday for a SG race in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Jackson Hole is really cool because the town of Jackson is very little but it has a cowboy ski twist to it. I love it how I can walk to all my restaurants. Anyways, Saturday was race day. Everything was going well. I was preparing for my run and I was really excited, and soon I was out of the gate. My run was going great! I was skiing well and I was going really fast. But there was a roll over two gates from the finish. I went of the roll over with bad direction and loaded up my ski too much, that launched me into the air and then I crashed through the netting. With blood everywhere, I was still conscious but I endured a bad concussion and a strained neck and lower back. That ended my trip very quickly. Now I'm just recovering, luckily it is going very well. Hopefully I'll be back on snow as soon as I can! Even though all this happened, the greatest experience I had and saw was all of my friends. In the ski racing world, there is a whole other group of people! That's what I loved about that trip. Except for my minor setback.
