Snowboarding to Skateboarding
In my life right now I have many transitions going on. One of the major ones is from snowboarding to skateboarding. I have been snowboarding this whole winter, but the snow has started to melt away and they opened the skatepark up again. I usually don't skateboard until the resorts close. But on my Colorado trip I went skateboarding at Woodward twice. I think I am starting to skate more and more.

Nostalgia
|näˈstaljə, nə-|
noun
a wistful desire to return in thought or in fact to a former time in one's life, to one's home or homeland, or to one's family and friends; a sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place or time: a nostalgia for his college days.[source]
Well. This is fun. In The Fault in Our Stars, Hazel says that people list nostalgia among the side effects of cancer, but in fact, it isn't. Nostalgia, she says, is a side effect of dying. ("Almost everything is, really.") I'm pretty sure I'm not dying, though. So though it pains me to say this Hazel, I disagree.
Nostalgia isn't a side effect of dying; it's a side effect of change. And don't get me wrong, change is good. People working together, reaching greater heights, building new things. But like the rest of life . . . sometimes, I wish I could go back.

Back about two weeks - two weeks to when my friend was still here. She left for a month in Europe, then a month in South America directly afterwards. Left on the 24th, and . . . it's taken 'till about now for it to sink in. So here I am, trying to make the transition of someone being here . . . and then not.
Nostalgia.
Anyway, thanks for reading, even though I'm a couple days late.

From Skis to Sandals
If there's one thing I'm positive about, it's that I'm happy it's almost summer. I have been anticipating it all year, and will go outside every chance I get. Sure I'll miss snowboarding with my friends, hot chocolate, and perfect snowfalls, but the entrance of summer, for me, means no more worries. I'm looking forward to going to the beaches in California, and learning to surf with my cousin. I'm looking forward to not having to wear layers and layers of snow clothes to go outside. I'm also looking forward to no homework. Sure, chores. But school, nope. I know that in Park City especially, winter's probably the favorite season for most people, but not me. I'm more of a beach bum than a skier. I can't wait to be in the sun!! It's definitely a change for the better. :)
Cold to Warm
The winter has come to an end. The snow is melting and it is way warmer outside. My ski season is ending. I'm going to miss winter but I am ready for warmth. I can't wait to start longboarding, biking, running, and playing tennis. Summer opens up so many other things to do. I can't wait! I get to wear more comfortable clothes and also go in the water! So many different things to do! I especially can't wait to longboard!

Cold to Warm
A transition that I am going through right now is spring to summer. I like this transition vey much. I like it because the flowers are starting to bloom. Another reason why I like it is because skiing is just getting over with. Now I get to start to play lacrosse outside and not play at Basin Rec. Also, in Park City all of the trees start to grow their leaves back. The flowers start to grow again. Next, the weather gets a lot warmer. With the weather warmer you can do so much more than with cold, snowy weather. This is just one of the transitions that is happening in my life.
Fun in the Sun
I think my transition is also the new season. Spring! I am really excited for spring because we are closer to summer. I love summer and I'm ready for it. you don't have to worry about getting up early to go to school. and the memories are just ready to happen. I have never liked winter because I hate being cold.
Winter to Spring
There are many transitions currently happening but one of the main ones is winter to spring. I go from skiing to mountain biking. Wearing snow boots to wearing tennis shoes. Most magnificently however is the weather change. The snow goes away and the grass starts showing. The grass becomes green and the flowers start blooming. Also, the birds start chirping. The mountain closes for the season and we start wearing shorts and t-shirts. We go on wonderful vacations.
This is the transition from winter to spring.
